Kelli Harkless, MSN, CNM, is a dedicated certified nurse midwife with more than 14 years of maternal health experience. At Capital Women’s Care, Kelli provides well-rounded care to women throughout Silver Spring and Laurel, Maryland. She has a strong background in well-woman exams, midwifery care, and high-risk antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum nursing.
After receiving her Bachelor of Science in nursing from Waynesburg University in Pennsylvania in 2004, Kelli decided to pursue further education in women’s health nursing. In 2015, she graduated from Frontier Nursing University’s Nurse Midwifery Education Program, earning her Master of Science in nursing in Hyden, Kentucky.
In addition to her educational experience, Kelli has participated in several trainings. She has taken an advanced fetal monitoring and assessment course and a surgical first assisting at cesarean delivery course at Philadelphia University in Pennsylvania.
With a passion for physiologic childbirth and women's health care, Kelli adapts easily to new situations and enjoys a challenge. She is a self-motivated professional committed to providing high-quality midwifery care.
Kelli holds several certifications, such as Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support. She also participated in the Neonatal Resuscitation Program. Kelli is certified by the American Midwifery Certification Board (AMCB) and is an active member of the American College of Nurse Midwives.
